We print off conference bingo sheets that they can color as they here a word ie. missionary,family,music....
then at the end they get some kind of treat.M&M's have usually been what we have used. but they usually can fill up one sheet pretty quick if they are really listening well.So we are still working on figuring it out ourselves.

Does everyone listen to Conference at home or at church?
We usually go to the Church, but not this year. We are watching 4 nieces that weekend, and they are WILD! We are not even going to try to bring them to the church. We will try to listen to it through our computer this year.

We watch at home on TV ... it's broadcast on regular over-the-air TV here. (on the WB station)

Some people ask their kids to listen really good to at least the prophet and 1 other talk, and then have everyone "report" the next week for FHE what they learned from that talk. Kids could take notes or draw pictures of what the talk was about, I guess.
These links have more conference ideas for kids:

I think even if your kids are very young, you need to get them into the Conference habit. Even if they can't pay attention to the talks for very long, you could let them do puzzles and other quiet church-related things while they are "listening". The Friend usually has a Conference game for the older kids. (This month it's Conference ABCs). In the past, we've come up with a list of words beforehand, and the kids make tallymarks next to the word every time they hear it. You could maybe do it with pictures, too, for the ones who can't read.

I know of a lady that says her family eats peanuts in the shell while watching conference. She said they make a mess, but her kids sit quietly for hours cracking peanuts and writing conference notes and coloring church pictures. She said it keeps their hands and mouths busy!

Do we have to boil the peanuts first to make them work?

Here is another idea I heard. It is probably too late to do it this time, but it is something to consider:
Starting with FHE the Monday prior to conference, have a Conference Countdown. Each day something comes out that will be used during General Conference. One day it could be conference folders (bingo pages, room for notes and a place for testimonies.)
Another day it could be some sort of craft that the kids can work on while watching (pipe cleaners, foam shapes, etc.)
Another day it could be the candy you can win by playing conference bingo.
Another day it could be the ingredients for something (like homemade salsa) that will be made during the break between sessions.
Anyway you get the idea. It makes conference something to look forward to and be excited about.

We did our BINGO different this time. Instead of having the kids color in the pictures, they put M&M's on them. When they got BINGO, they got to eat all of their candy and then start over again. It seemed to hold their interest longer, and we only had to come up with one BINGO sheet for each person. Even Grandpa got in on the fun! ;)
