Do you have any ideas for easy HFPE nights? My friend was just called as the Enrichment leader and she is panicking. She doesn't have internet access, but I was wondering if you had any successful (yet simple) ideas to share. Thanks!

For any month, really. My friend just would like some ideas to use the next few months. I gave her your emergency preparedness ideas, and she really liked those. We have a lot of older ladies in our ward. Very few singles. A handful of young mothers. Most of the ladies are older than me.

One of our very fun and loved by all ages and seasons of of life was a Service white elephant exchange. takes not really any prep just explain to come prepared with ideas they write their service on 1/2 of a 3x5 card and they are all taped up on the chalkboard the rest of the way it runs like a white elephant game. people
made baby quilts, took another another couple out for dinner,2 hours of house cleaning, addressed christmas cards,...they were very creative.
--almost all nighter on a friday night 7pm-11pm people bring unfinished projects to work on and have some mingling games.
--P.J.'S party prayer,scriptures and Journals.

Has anyone ever done a Parenting Panel? I found the idea online. It involves parents of all different types and in all different stages: mother of a big family, mother of a special needs child, mother of teens, adoption, etc.

Parenting panels are great you just need a great moderator.

Another class that is good is....
Fun, great, cheap, or interesting things to do in your area or day trips. we have that this week at ours.

We had a guy from the county extension come teach to us about vegetable gardening; a talent show; getting more out of scripture study and how to have scripture study with children; visiting teaching conference; we went to a free concert put on by the U.S. Army Continental Band; family history (Mom gave me a lot of ideas for this one)
