Now everyone in the Smith family has had surgery, at one time or another ......... except for Chandler.

What did they do, and how is she feeling?

They took a skin graft from the roof of her mouth and attached it to the gums across her bottom front teeth. They did it because her braces & appliances had caused her gums to stretch too much, and there wasn't enough coverage on those teeth any more.
She was in a lot of pain the first 24 hours, but she is doing much better now. There is still some pain, but she is handling it well.

The dressing in Jordyn's mouth came off this weekend. It looks like the graft didn't take.
She goes to the dr. on Tuesday, so we'll see what he has to say.

All that pain and it may not have worked? No fun at all!

Latest report: Everything is okay! The graft did take. It still looks low down on her teeth, but it will eventually even out. The doctor says everything looks fine. YAY!
